Preschool Music Group (ages 3-4-5)

The preschool music group (ages 3-4-5) meets on Wednesday at 6:45 and is led by Lisa Greer, Linda Hiott, and Gloria Hooper. They use a music education curriculum with a spiritual emphasis published by Lifeway. In addition to singing and Bible stories, they learn musical concepts such as: music moves up, down, or stays the same, music can be high or low, music can be fast or slow, music can be loud or soft, music can be smooth or bumpy, and how to play a steady beat. This group is non-performance oriented as that is what is best for this age. Experts in child development tell us that performance puts pressure on preschoolers and is of no benefit to them.
